About Our Firm

The Mycek Law Firm is a full-service law firm with over 58 years of dedicated service to our clients and to the community. Started in 1952 by John J. Mycek, Esq., our general practice firm handles a range of cases throughout the Capital Region. Both William J. and William H. Mycek practice out of the Mycek Law Firm and have worked throughout Montgomery County in both professional and volunteer roles. Their experiences are highlighted below. 

William J. Mycek, Esq.

William J. Mycek was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 2007. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2002 and then continued his education at the Widener University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree in 2006.


His experience since law school include working as an assistant district attorney, a town attorney across communities in Upstate NY, and working various roles for Montgomery County. Along with these positions he has also worked as a private practitioner at the Mycek Law Firm since 2006.


William H. Mycek, Esq.

William H. Mycek was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 1982. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree and then continued his education at the Whittier College School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree.

Alongside his work as a private practitioner, William H. has also worked in various positions in Montgomery County such as representing various local Veteran groups and attorney for the Montgomery County Democratic Committee. He has also served as the Greater Amsterdam City School District School Board Attorney since 1987.
